The Rock & Roll Madhouse : Danny Fisher, Colin Sumner & Ian Jones was formed in
Durban, South Africa in 1998. The line-up was two guitars & bass with midi backing.
We had an idea to combine 50`s & 60`s music along with some comedy & impressions,
to make what we thought would be an all-round entertainment package.
We found a tailor who could make us the authentic "teddy - boy" drapes & we had
to have the shoes (brothel-kreepers) specially imported from the U.K.

A nights repertoire/running order would look something like this;
1st set
A selection of 60`s material featuring:Hollies, Searchers, Gerry & the Pacemakers,
Beatles, Gary Pucket,Monkees, Cliff & the Shadows.

The 2nd set was the highlight of the show as we
performed our "Legends in Concert" cabaret. This
featured Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Everly
Brothers & Elvis.

Our "dance set" was loaded with everything connected or
related to Rock & Roll.We played all the standards with
some rockabilly thrown in along side The Stray Cats &
Dwight Yoakam.
Danny did impressions of Rod Stewart & Mick Jagger which
we also incorporated into the last set.

The Rock & Roll Madhouse toured South Africa extensively,
travelling most of the time with all the equipment in a
Toyota Hi-Ace van.We used to average 8000kms per month
on the road. We worked at all the major hotels & civic
centres as well as performing an Elvis tribute show in the
Sun City Superbowl.

During the bands 4+ years together we managed to make two albums, "JUKEBOX" &
"THIS ROCK & ROLL MADHOUSE". We also made a tv show which was broadcast in
South Africa.

" A night with the Rock & Roll Madhouse is not to be missed"

"Probably one of the best Rock & Roll acts I`ve ever seen".

"It`s just impossible to stay in your seat"

We loved what we did and "lived" the way we did it.
